Artist-in-residence programs for Finnish artists abroad

To promote links between Finland and the international contemporary visual art scene, FRAME works in partnership with international artist-in-residence programs. The aim is to provide Finnish artists residencies, research, production and presentation opportunities abroad.

FRAME collaborates with several artist-in-residence programs from different cultural environments around the world, e.g.: Rijksakademie in Amsterdam; Location One in New York; Capacete Entretenimentos in Rio de Janeiro; AIT in Japan; Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center in Istanbul, FACT in Liverpool; Camden Arts Centre in London and the SPACEX in Exeter.

FRAME collaborates closely with HIAP for exchange programs to provide opportunities for Finnish artists to work abroad and for international artists and curators to work in Finland. This has created artist-in-residence collaboration with international actors such as Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt; Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, Dublin; Korean National Art Studio, Seoul; Centre d'Art i Natura, Farrera, Spain and Spike Island, Bristol.
